ND:YAG: tattoo and pigment removal

Laser tattoo removal does not burn out the drawing. It breaks pigment particles into smaller fragments that are gradually removed by the body.

Photoacoustic pigment fragmentation

A short laser pulse creates a sharp impact on a pigment particle. The particle breaks into smaller fragments that are gradually cleared by natural skin processes.

This is why the full result is not always visible after one visit: the body needs time between procedures.

Wavelengths and colors

1064 nm is most often used for dark pigments, while 532 nm is used for some red and warm shades. Several modes expand the range of tasks one device can cover.

For a salon this matters because tattoos and permanent makeup differ in depth, density and color, so parameters must be selected flexibly.

Why a course is needed

Each session breaks only part of the pigment. Intervals allow the skin to recover and remove already fragmented particles before the next exposure.

A competent protocol reduces aggressive work on the skin and helps achieve a more predictable result.
